The Hopscotch Hottie!

Memorial Day 2008: Annie proclaims herself to be the Hopscotch Hottie.

Apparently she won a hop-scotch tournament when she was in elementary... Well. Elementary was a long time ago SISTA!

Coincidentally, my grandma has a hopscotch court. The challenge was made and the game was on. Spectators gathered. It was quite intense! (I'm not joking, it really was... there are a lot of rules to hopscotch!) Austin played the part of the line judge.
The Hopscotch Hottie, although self proclaimed, certainly lived up to her title. She was tossing and hopping with great accuracy, it looked ominous for me as she was nearing the end of each set. I was struggling. It seemed every call in the book was made on me from tossing line fouls to double feet dismounts... but I knew I still had a shot, the game wasn't over yet!
As Annie was approaching her last set, I was behind by three. But due to a few hoppy taw sliding errors. I quickly caught up and victory was mine!

Earning me the title of Reigning Hopscotch Champ! Whahoo!

da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da...ya say it's your birthday....It's my birthday too yeah!...

We celebrated my birthday this weekend. Tony went over and beyond to make it a special day for me! ( Little does he know it doesn't take much to make it special... just him and my girls... and a card :).) But hey I'll take all the other stuff too! :) He put a lot of thought into the day and I feel completely spoiled and undeserving!

This is my favorite gift! This is something each member of my family totally looks forward too: Where will crazy grandma hide the money?!!!

She usually gives us a couple pieces of candy and the money is usually wrapped in tinfoil or taped to string in a tick tack box or attached to the lid of something. As you can see for me this year it was wrapped in tinfoil and taped to the smarties... not both of the tinfoil smarties had money just the one, see she's a tricky one! $10 my favorite kind of gift card!

I have to thank you all again for your phone calls and birthday wishes and special things you did for me... probably the only gift better than the hidden tinfoil money is all the love from all of you!

Tayvie Time

Everytime I set Tayvie down she pulls her head forward and tries to sit up. She's getting so big so fast! She is starting to get better control of her hands, she all of the sudden likes to hold on to toys and grab blankets or whatever is in her reach.
I've said it before and I'll say it again (and again, and again...) she is such a sweet baby. I just love every second with her!

My Little Piece of Heaven

I sat on my deck this morning.

The weather was perfect, a crisp feeling morning...slightly overcastish,

perfect for deck sitting.

The birds chirping, like I'm sitting in a forrest in the mountains

instead of in my neighborhood in the middle of the city.

What a nice morning.

I had forgotten how much I love it back there.

Maybe I AM excited for Summer!

A New Friend That Looks Just Like Me

A Day In The Life of A Princess

Ayla woke up the other morning and wanted to be a princess. She asked for each piece of her wardrobe individually. My favorite part is that this girl can walk around in her little plasic high-heels that are 7 sizes too big- she even does stairs like they're nothing. Honestly I can't even do that in heels that fit me!

The princess made a few appearances through out the day. First jogging at the walkway, and later at the store. She was so cute. One little girl at the store said "Mom! She looks beautiful!" another lady called her "darling" and another asked if it was her birthday. She brought a smile to a lot of faces. That's my little goofball!

So by the time we got home she was all tuckered out- hence the picture.
