Rose or Christo? That is the question.

Here's baby at 16 weeks. I am always amazed at how much the baby has grown in the past four weeks! Even as much as I expect it, I'm still always shocked! I also think that it's funny how I can sit and watch the ultrasound and it's so clear and it looks just like a baby and then he snaps the picture and it looks like this! :) You can see the baby's face in this one though, that's kind of fun! And it's little legs are tucked up underneath.
Ayla has come up with some names for the baby. The other day, we were driving home and she says 'Mom, when is Rose going to come out?' Sounds like I'm giving birth to an old lady! Of course she always refers to it as Rose but when forced to come up with a boy name she originally suggested Carlos but now says Christo would be a nice name.
We get to find out if it's a little Rose or Christo on July 22nd, just four weeks away! The Doc did look yesterday and we had a real clear shot, so he gave me his guess, but I'm not going to put much weight on that just in case it's different news in four weeks! So why don't you give me your guesses, boy or girl? What do you think?

You're Welcome Pharmaceudical Companies For My Substantial Contributions

I ran to the pharmacy today to pick up some antibiotics. I have a constant UTI so while I'm with child the good doc insists that I take the antibiotics every day until a month before the baby is due, apparently there is a premature labor risk if I don't. You know how bad I am at taking
m e d i c a t i o n
aparently Doctor Hartman does too cause two weeks ago he left me a personal message saying
"Lacie, take your medicine, find some way to take it."
Funny. So here I am two weeks later actually filling the rx. Nice.
Anyway, I'm telling you this because... well, for no reason really, just cause it's such an adventure to do anything with Tayvie! My pharmacy is at Alberston's cause the pharmacists there are really nice and I think they're funny. So I thought,
'Oh my gosh! Albertson's has those super fun car carts! That will be a blast for the girls!'
So I drop of my rx and the girls are all excited to drive the car around the store. So we do a few laps while we're killing time, and of course they are both loving it, but of course when I park the cart so we can go pick up the rx, Tayvie has a major fit! She keeps trying to run back to the cart until we actually leave the store. She is hillarious how stubborn she is. I remember Ayla being stubborn, but in a different way than Tayvie... I think atleast.

This little story doesn't really do it justice, I was tired by the time we got back in the car and thought, 'Wow! Picking up a rx shouldn't be this hard!'

I totally still thought it was fun to let them drive the car cart and would totally do it again.

Tayvie's just turning into such a little girl. Totally a toddler now. She is so quick- just speedy, and I'm slower than normal. She has no fear really, and she knows exactly what she wants and has a plan she's carrying out at all times. She's so funny. I just love to watch her run around here with a plan in her head!

Also, she's a mess. A cracker, whatever, she can cover her face and her clothes and the floor with whatever you give her. So this is her cheesy face, and it's hard to get a picture of her any more with out her scrunching her cute little face all up and saying "CHEEEEESE."

Chocolate Frog Legs?

Awww! One of those moments that makes your heart happy as a mom.

Right at this very moment, Ayla and Tayvie are playing school. They're such little best friends! So dang cute!
Me? I am blogging to avoid the kazillion things I should be doing instead.
Time's up I guess, back to work now.
Ayla's asking me if we can make 'chocolate frog legs.' Any ideas on how to do that?
HAPPY RAINY THURSDAY EVERYONE!!!

Nutshellin' Seven Years

I was barely 21, Tony was almost 22.
The day was beautiful and sunny.
We were married at 8:20 am.
In the Salt Lake Temple.
Lake Tahoe for the Honeymoon.
Have vacationed in Yellowstone together that year and every year since.

Lived in a lovely appartment in Kearns for 9 months.
Bought a very nice house in West Valley.
Had three miscarriages, and three successful pregnancies (fingers-crossed).
Two beautiful little girls so far, with another (boy or girl) on the way.

Been Primary Teachers, Sunday School Teachers, Elders Quorem Presidency, Young Women's Secretary, Activities Committee, Young Men's President...and other little things.
Seven jobs for Tony (Eyre Electric, Esteemed Services, DHL Driver, Moog Aircraft, Semitool, Fluid Power Institute, and back to Moog Aircraft)
Three for me (JCPenney Optical, Bud Bailey Construction, Jacobsen Construction) and then the best job of all.
Ten between both of us!
Together we enjoy picnics, walks around the neighborhood, playing with the kids, grocery shopping, working together on projects, talking, dreaming, camping.
We're always up for a car ride.

I am so thankful for the things we have in common, and a little more reluctant to admit that I might be just as thankful for our differences.

Lot's of love, lot's of laughs, lot's of tears happy and sad, lot's of learning done and lot's left to do. Lot's of family times, lot's of trips, lot's of planning, lot's of fun.
Mostly, we just like to be together with each other and our family whatever we are doing.
Would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Just for Tony, I love you... love, your sweetiekins.

Our Great Big Exciting Memorial Day Weekend

Fridays always feel special to me,
and this was the Friday before Memorial Day Weekend
so I packed a picnic and took the girls to a park. Ayla has been wanting to walk over a skywalk, so Saturday we drove specifically to a skywalk and took the girls across it. They loved it.
Such a small thing but it was fun.
(Completely irrational I know, but I got a little afraid once I got to the top, and had to force myself to go across).

Monday. Hangin' with the fam at the Grams.
mmmm. Mom & Dad bought everyone lunch.
Everyone's serious about eating it.
Super cool Daddy making sandcastles.

Then the girls take over.

...
I promised great big exciting, I know, did you miss it?
That was the part where we walked over the skywalk.

Family weekends are always the best!
