Just One For Now

Yesterday we took about a trillion pictures... not just of us, but of all our Goddard family (and when I say a trillion I mean just over 500). I think it was fun, and I think we got a whole bunch of good pictures, I'm so excited to go through them! If you know me, there really isn't too much that I find more exciting than having a new picture full of loved ones to display in my living room!

...so stay tuned, I'm sure I'll be posting a few of them. I bet you're excited!

***Thanks to Marci for maning the cameras for me, although I could have used the excersize of running back and forth with the timer and the tripod, but we got many, many more pictures this way and you did an amazing job with all of us, so thank you!***

If Your Name Starts With T Raise Your Hand!

These are my Tony and my Tayvie playing on the grass Saturday night.

If you happen to work at Doodlebug and may be working on putting a catalog together make a special note of that beautiful little sweet face sporting Doodlebug product on her headband :) .

Saturday morning I 'trimmed' Tony's hair. It looked so handsome, and then of course as I was trying to even up the opposite side, I cut way too deep and way to high! Ooops! So I cut it all off, good thing he still looks so handsome with out any hair. :)

The Best American Hugs Ever!!!

I think these pictures pretty much say it all. Ayla was so excited to see her daddy at the airport, she was so happy, and she wouldn't let go of him! Tayvie was all grins at her daddy when we got home! And he, of course, was happy to see his girls too!

So Long Suwon!!!

Tony has been in Suwon, South Korea for the past two weeks. He got on his plane at about 4:30 this morning (our time) to come home today!!! He has a 2 hour layover in LA and then he will get here at about 8:30 tonight!
Annyeonghi Kyeseyo Korea!!!

We are so excited to see him tonight!!!

He was over there for work to install machines. If you know what he does for a living it is completely amazing. He programs and maintains these massive machines and controls robots inside of the machines. The machines make or coat waffers of some sort having to do with chips in cell phones or memory in flash drives... (When he reads this he is probably going to tell me that this is all wrong, but I've been trying to understand for the past 3 years and what I understand is this dumbed-down version). It's all very complicated, when he talks about it it's like a completely different language- maybe it's Korean? :). But he is very smart - smart enough that they would send him to Korea! So it's been a neat experience for him, he hasn't liked the food much but there was a Pizza Hut, and a Korean co-worker had him over one night for bbq steak.

Thanks to the miracle of technology, we've been able to talk over Skype. Skype is AMAZING! Completely free to talk to him half a world a way! We even play Chinese Checkers over Skype while we are talking, which Ayla LOVES! She always asks if we can play a game with daddy. It's fun, she can see him move his marbles and she gets all excited! It definately helped the time go by fast!

The time difference has been strange. He's 15 hour ahead of us. So when I would talk to him at 7 am that was 10 pm for him... I was just starting my day and he was ending his. Then I would talk to him at 3:00 in the afternoon and that would be his 6 am the next day. So here's the strangest thing: He left Korea at 7:30 pm Friday night (his time) so he will live today twice!!! That's one long day for him on an airplane!

I think the hardest part for me was that I didn't get to talk to him before I went to bed every night because that was the middle of the day for him and he was at work. I missed him the most then. Every night when I would see the moon I would think how amazing it was that he was seeing the same moon. I wished I could have stuck a stickynote on it and he would have laughed when he saw it the next night.

I kept telling him to take tuns of pictures so hopefully he'll have a bunch to post.

We're so excited to see him today!!! We can't wait!!!

Tayvie Toesies

I thought today was going to be a bad day. We had a rough night. Ayla tried so hard to sleep last night but couldn't fall asleep until about 6 am. I sympathize with her cause I know exactly how she feels, I see in her the same sleep issues I have always had. I remember laying in bed late at night knowing I was the only one awake and not being able to sleep at all.

I was up at 7 to make a very important call to the other side of the world, and as I talked to the man who stole my heart and left me for Korea, I laid on the living room floor wondering how I was going to make it through the day on one hour of sleep, with a 2 year old who hates mornings anyway.

Tayvie woke up her happy little self, which brought a smile to my face, and then surprise of all surprising surprises Ayla woke up at 9 am as PERKY as could be. Singing songs imediately. Woke up her ponies. Went potty on her own. Got dressed right away. This was all great cause we needed to be out the door by 9:30 and it couldn't have gone smoother.

I don't think it has ever gone more smoothly!

How could it be a bad day anyway? Not with these cute little toesies and sweet little faces! Oh, and the water between my toes didn't hurt either! Nice! Zen!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Tayvie Noon!!!

Tayvie is 6 months old today!
It is so amazing to watch her learn and grow! I watched her this morning getting up on her knees and getting herself around. She moves so fast! At this rate she will be REALLY crawling, really soon! AHHH! She has started sitting up on her own for a few minutes at a time. It seems like everyday she learns so much more and starts doing all of these fun things even better! She still is as sweet as can be. It melts my heart when she stretches her arms up to me and says "mama, mama."
I can't look at her with out smiling.
She definately is my little Valentine's Sweetheart!
Happy 1/2 birthday baby girl!!!
I love you so much!

Good Night to Us...Good Morning to You!

What We're Talking About!

We have a play date at 11:00 today and Ayla is all ready to go. She keeps asking me "Are we ready yet?" So I showed her the clock and explained that we could go when the little hand is on the 11. She said "Can we move it now?"

The other night Ayla came in to the front room and told me she had a "nut" and I couldn't figure out what she was talking about. So she told me a few more times and then she said "I put it back in my nose" and started to stick it in her nose... apparently she was saying "SNOT."

Yesterday I told Ayla we needed to take the movies back and she said "No! Tony take the movies back!" So I explained to her that he couldn't take the movies back this time (it's usually his thing, I usually have nothing to do with the movies, but he lets Ayla help him pick them out and take them back), and she said "No...Daddy needs to help us!" How cute is that? He needs to help us!

The other day I asked Ayla what she wanted for Breakfast and she wanted a cookie, so I told her "no cookies aren't for Breakfast, what do you want for Breakfast?" and she answered "Lunch!" thinking that she could have Lunch for Breakfast and have a cookie!

One more: yesterday I was singing "Paint It Black" for some reason. So Ayla started singing along, then she climbed up behind me and kept telling me that she wanted to paint my back. I had forgotten about that until just now she squished herself between my back and the chair and started painting my back!

Tayvie has started saying "BAH, BAH, BAH, BAH,BAH..." and "MAHMA, MAHMA,..." It's so cute!

Ladybugs

Michele Cockayne gave these adorable dressed to my girls a couple weeks ago and Ayla thought it was her birthday, so she calls her's her birthday dress.
Little Tayvie is scooting herself all over the place and rolling like crazy! It's so fun to watch her go! She is so quick!
Since Tayvie is 6 months old in two days I gave her rice cereal for the first time- actually I let Ayla feed it to her. It was really cute, they both loved it! Tayvie's hands are so quick, it's hard to keep anything out of her grasp! She grabs for the spoon and the bowl and most of the time I'm not quick enough to get it away!
Ayla just walks around here singing constantly! When her Little Ponies talk to each other they don't talk- they sing. She is so funny! She has such an imagination I just love it. She changes me into all sorts of things with her magic wond and she likes to pretend to be the icecream man and asks "what kind of flavor do you want?" but when you reply she's most likely to "not have any of that," but if she does have it she wants her money.

oh... they're fun!

No One Likes A Frowny Face!

I wish I could remember all of these things that make me laugh during the day!

The day of these pictures we were playing in the front room and all of the sudden Ayla said "I want my panties hat!" So she runs upstairs and comes back with her panties on her head!

Yesterday I was talking to her about something she shouldn't do and she was looking in my eyes like she was listening but then all of the sudden started singing "no one likes a frowny face, change it for a smile..."

I'm still laughing about that one...what a sweet little goofball!
