Team Picture Day

Today is the day we've been waiting for!!! Opening day of the Jazz 2008-2009 season! We are so excited- and yes that is we, not just me but Ayla too! I would imagine that Tayvie is also excited. Tony is excited too but he didn't want a jersey he is opting for a hat.

I took the girls to the second preseason game this year and it was so fun! Ayla was so cute she loved it. She loved watching the games on tv with us last year, but it was so fun for her to be at the game and eat popcorn! She really did sit and watch the game and clap and cheer. Tayvie also loved it. She loved to watch everyone around her clapping their hands, she just sat and clapped along with them. It was fun.

We bought jerseys at the game, it was time to update my old B-Russ jersey from what? about 13 years ago? Now we are Korver girls! I always love the 3-point shooters, (Korver's statistics are amazing). So as a measure of good luck for our team we wear them every game day to support! GO JAZZ!!! YEAY!!!

BOOOO at the Zoo!

We got up bright and early this morning to go to Boo at the Zoo. We've been totally looking forward to it as we have gone the last two years and it's been fun. This was Tony's first year coming with us so I warned him that it would be packed so we should be there at opening 9 am, but that it was totally worth it cause they give out lots of fun and cool stuff- one year we got a huge bag of chips amongst other things.
We got there a few minutes before they opened and there was a LONG line but we figured it would die down fast once they opened... we were WRONG. It was INSANE!!! The line wrapped all the way down one aisle of the parking lot and up the next on both sides! Once we made it in, the lines to get the candy seemed just about as long, and the reward for making it through the line was usually a single hard candy or a mint! Seriously? Mints? We could hardly walk- especially pushing the stroller! We even went to the back of the zoo to try to avoid the craziness and it was only slightly better. It also seemed to me that they didn't have nearly as many booths as they have had in the past, but that could just be my imagination since we didn't wait in many of the lines. So for my review of Boo at the Zoo, I say just that: Booo! (he, he!)
However the kids did have fun, Ayla wanted to go back, we rode the carousel (no line for that), and the company was good! I'm sure you were all there too... I can't imagine that anyone in the state wasn't, they definitely had a good turnout! So I seriously would like to know what you all thought of it this year? I don't think I'll do it again next year if it's like this.

Who's Who?

These are pictures of Ayla at 8.5 months and Tayvie at 8.5 months, can you tell who is who? I think they're pretty obvious for a few reasons but they definately do look like sisters!

A Very Un-Sun-shiney Week.

Last week was what you might call a "bad" week. Nothing really big went wrong, it just seemed like all the little things did. And once something went wrong everything else, that would have normally been fine- wasn't.

The worst thing that happened was I had my friend drive my car and we got pulled over and he got a ticket! (I still feel so bad) This was just icing on the cake, after the day I had already had. Tayvie fell down both flights of stairs that day. Ayla got her spaghetti hands all over my carpet and my couch. I can't even remember all the silly little things. You just know how you have those days that you just have to laugh cause nothing goes right? That's how it was. I realized that most of the silly things that went "wrong" normally happen on a daily basis. And normally don't bother me. I normally just take care of them and move on with my day.

I know it was all just my attitude that made my day "bad." Something that went wrong in the begining of the day I would let set my mood for the rest of the day, making everything else a big deal, and making my day "miserable"! When I actually thought about it all at the end of the day, I realized that maybe I was actually lucky. I was lucky that poor little Tayvie didn't even get as much as a bruise from her falls. I was lucky that the Spaggetti stains came out. I was lucky that we didn't get a worse ticket than we did. Looking back all in all it was actually a fun week.

I'm not usually like this. I think I usually do see the "lucky" side of things instead of the "bad," so I don' t know why I was that way last week? But I was. Maybe I was tired, I missed Tony, maybe I was a bit overwhelmed, but I'm better now, things are good again. Funny how we remember the FUN stuff and not the "bad" stuff.

So this is me wishing us all SUNSHINE and CHOCOLATE for the rest of our week!
.
BTW this picture was from last week, Ayla was pouting because I told her that her little jaguar couldn't do something and Tayvie came right over with her smiley little face to make Ayla feel better. So cute!

I just love my Wife!

I have the best wife in the world! I can't imagine somebody more perfect than her for me. Lacie is the kindest thoughtful most caring person I know. I love how hard she works from the moment she wakes up. Some may consider her as being "just a homemaker" but she is soo much more! Not only does she strive harder every day to help our sweet girls as they grow and progress, she makes time to help out her friends and family. She is always looking for ways (though they might seem to be difficult for her) to make somebody's life easier and make their day. She is extremely selfless and loving. She has this extraordinary spirit that requires her to never stop. I can't remember a time that she wasn't worried about somebody in her life trying to see how she could help. You have set such an example to me and I have to tell you how grateful I am for you Lace. I love that we can always enjoy eachother. There isn't one thing that I wouldn't want to do without you by my side. Thanks for being the one that I love.

Tony

A Round of Applause

This morning when Ayla woke up and started to come down the stairs Tayvie heard her voice and got so excited! She couldn't wait to see her! So as soon as she did she got a great big grin on her face and started waving to her like crazy, and then started clapping. Yeay! Sister's awake! They both sat on the stair for a while and clapped their hands at each other. It was the cutest thing ever!

Tayvie, Tayvie, Tayvie

Tayvie makes me giggle every time I look at her lately! She is so funny! She is such a little explorer, I love to see her mind work as she watches things. She doesn't ever hold still, she is just go, go, go. She is very determined and very quick. As soon as I put her on the floor she heads straight for the stairs- that's her new favorite conquest right now. She's pretty good too, she can go up them and she can come down a few but she gets distracted and usually turns around so I have to be right with her.
My favorite is when she's crawling somewhere with such a purpose and she'll stop and look up at me with her tilted little head, her sparkling eyes, and that great big sweet toothless grin. Oh! She just kills me! Makes me smile just thinking about that sweet little face.
Watching her you can just tell she loves her newly found freedom so much, now that she can get where ever she wants. She is just so happy.
She wants to do everything Ayla is doing. Ayla and I were playing a game yesterday and Tayvie immediately stopped what she was doing, came over as fast as ever, pushed her way through us and started grabbing the game pieces! She is so funny! She really does just watch everything Ayla does and trys to be a part of it. It's really cute.
She also is a little climber, since she started doing the stairs she thinks she can climb anything. She's always holding on to something and standing up or climbing on me.
These pictures are from her bath this morning. She had so much fun. I barely dared take my hand off of her for a second to snap the pictures cause she was climbing all over!
