Surprise! We're Dressed!

What a cute morning it was today! I got in the shower and to my surprise was not interupted even one time by a little person hanging over the tub, instead when I got out I was greeted by two little excited girls explaining to me that they had picked out their own clothes and got dressed!
Tayvie had picked out a long sleeved blue shirt with butterflies and flowers on it that she had on her head like a hat, and stripey pants that she had pulled on over her pajamas and was walking like a penguin cause both legs were in the same pant leg!
Ayla informed me that she had helped Tayvie pick out her clothes, and they were both so proud of the butterflies and flowers on her shirt! Ayla's outfit was her favorite little jean capris and a long sleeved sweatshirt. She said "You are gonna be so proud of me!"
I just love that they had a little plan and did it all on their own, Ayla helping Tayvie, and they both knew I would LOVE that they had done it. They were SO excited!

Just Had To Share

It's funny how a simple thing can change the whole course of your day.

Between 8 am and 11 am my day was just a 'deal with it' Monday. Crying kids. Working on laundry, cleaning. Thinking that my biggest success today would be that the kids were dressed and that would be good enough.

Then around 11ish I remembered that today's date is September 20th... significant because I had entered a give-a-way on Sell Party of 3...4 and she was going to announce the winner on the 20th. (Only now I realize that YESTERDAY was actually the 20th ... such is my life). AND guess who the WINNER was?
YEP! ME, I WON!!!

So this is what I won:

TRUE, I really would have been excited to win anything, but I am super excited to win this!!! I have never had anything like this, I've always just used blankets and I KNOW I'm going to LOVE this! Seriously, probably no one will love this more than me! I'm so excited!
So my day has gone from just a blah Monday to me wanting to dance around the living room because I won this little nursing blanket! :) Funny how that works!

Go visit Sell Party of 3 ...4. Say hi to her, she loves her readers. She does fun food reviews and always has a give-a-way going on. Plus she's really cute and friendly, she would love for you to say hi I'm sure! And make sure you enter her next give-a-way, maybe you'll be dancing around the living room like me :)

Baby Lips

Look at those sweet little lips! I can't get over that picture!!!
Tony and I went to my doctor's appointment yesterday. I am now going every 3 weeks! I can't believe that by my NEXT appointment (3 weeks from now) I am going to be 30 weeks! WOW! This baby will be here before we know it!
Tony and I were joking about what a nice date we had, cause that's as close as we get! :)
It was really nice though, to just be the two of us for a long drive.
The appointment went well. Baby looks good. I got a flu shot and passed my glucose test. So all good news.
Dr Hartman was fancying himself quite the photographer. So we got several pictures:

This one below, was from our last appointment that I never posted:

The Sweetest Thing

Saturday we went for a little drive and stopped at a little trailhead in Highland, right at the base of the mountain. The girls had fun playing in the mountains. They are so much fun!
A couple of days ago, Ayla was standing by the bottom of my bed and Tayvie came in from the bathroom and gave Ayla the sweetest hug. She just hugged her for atleast a minute, for no particular reason. It was the sweetest thing.
This morning they've been riding their bikes, sometimes both of them on the same bike. They've also been coloring, and they did the spots on the floor again. I just get a kick out of watching them do things together. I love that they play together!

Legacy Pamphlet

Remeber THIS ?
Last October, we did this little photoshoot for Legacy Village and they used one of the photos on their website. Well, yesterday Michele Cockayne walked into their new location on 5400 South & 3200 West and was surprised to see this: How cute is that? Ayla is on the front cover of their pamphlets!
So then, of course, I had to check out their website again and they've redone it. This is the second page of their website:

We just think these are fun! I've seen billboards with some of these pictures on them, I haven't seen any with Ayla yet but keep an eye out and let me know if you do! How funny huh?

Three and a Half

Ayla is now three and a half! I thought this was so cute I had to video her doing this the other day. She was walking around and around this tree and singing some song she had made up very quitely.

She is still dying to go to school. She asks me about it everyday. Apparently the older neighborkids are having an inside-out clothes day and she has reminded me several times that it's inside-out day. Once we get settled I'm going to have to find her a pre-school!

Ayla loves to help me. She loves to have a plan and do things step by step. She loves to show Tayvie how to do things, like go potty. It's so cute to listen to her explain things step by step.

She says things like "I've got news for you Momma." and yea she calls me "Momma." Actually, sometimes she calls me a "silly-goose!" She says things everyday that make me laugh.

She loves to watch the weather, which is funny cause I get so bored by the weather that I always forget to pay attention to the 7 day forcast but since she's so into it I have to pay attention. She always wants to know where we are on the map and where Aunt Julie is. She also tells me when there will be thunderstorms.

She is so sweet and loves to cuddle. She'll randomly tell me "I love ya Momma."

I love it when she tells me a story. I love to see her act it out and her facial expressions while she's telling it. She'll get so into it. It's really cute!

She's definately my little buddy, involved in everything I'm doing. She makes me happy. :)

Adventures of an 18 Month Old

Tayvie is 18 months old now. Still 18 pounds, she'll eat twice what Ayla does and then top it off with half of my meal, but she's got so much energy! If I say "let's go" Tayvie will immediately run and get her shoes, and she's ready. When I tell her to go get something she's gone in a split second to get it.

She is crazy about brushing her teeth.

She loves to pretend to be a kitty with her sister, she will just all of the sudden start crawling around and meowing and wants me to pet her.

She has an OBSESSION with shoes! Her favorite word probably! If you take your shoes off she will bring them to you and want you to put them on. And she's picky about what shoes she wants to wear, she will tell me no until she picks out the ones she wants. She's really funny! Shoes probably connect to going outside. Another one of her favorite words "Out-side" She begs all day long, she just loves to be outside!

She loves to sing!!! All I have to do is say the word sing and she starts singing. It's so cute! In church she sits with the hymn book and sings as loud as she can, which is like the only time she ever sits still at all! She goes to nursery now, and loves it! She's wanted to go for a while and knows which door it is. She also loves to say prayers, she folds her arms and bows her head and points her finger at Ayla to fold her arms and then she'll point to me and say "say it."

Driving in the car when we come to a stop light she yells "GO" "GO"... until we go again.

She LOVES the baby in my tummy! It seems like it's so real to her. She loves to lift up my shirt and give her kisses, and tickle her. She gets really excited about it.

She picks things up really fast, like she doesn't really have to take time to learn them, she just does them, like riding her scooter and her bike.

Other things she says: "un, DU, de, GO!" "See that?!" "Get it" "MOM!" "Da" "please" "Cheese" "drink" "want that" "no" ... I should keep a better list cause I know there's a bunch more I'll think of later! She is also so cute with her sign language. She does "more" a lot and "all done" and "baby" is the cutest, with a huge grin on her face!

She is not afraid of anything. Tayvie is adventurous and full of energy! She is still a sweetheart although she can be mean too. She defends her territory for sure and she's a pretty tough little girl! Probably the best word to describe her is BUSY, she is always busy doing something and she's doing whatever it is quickly! The other word would usually be HAPPY, most of the time she has this HUGE grin on her face and her eyes are just sparkling. Aww, I just love that little face! She is a lot of fun!

Ayla and the Webcam

Last night Ayla was playing with the webcam. I just thought it was cute how she would set it all up and then smile for herself as she took the picture. Each one she had someone in mind that she wanted to send it to. What a little cutie!

Avoiding the Massive Fall Below

This sums it up pretty well: hanging off the edge of the cliff and holding on as tight as we can to avoid the massive fall below.

Not really.

Ha, ha! I just thought that was funny!
(but I guess really)

Here's some more Yellowstone classics:

Watch out! That guys going to jump!... and who's that creepy guy in the background of our family picture?

ha! ha! Classic!
