Hebgen Lake

One day we left the park and went to Hebgen Lake or Quake Lake. If any of you know the story of Quake Lake it's always been a facinating place to me. In the summer of 1959 right before midnight there was a big Earth Quake and the mountain slid and dammed the river and filled the valley turning it into Quake Lake. The sad thing is 28 people died that night, because the area was filled with campers and vacationers it was a popular resort area. They've left the remains of some of that houses and resorts. I just think it's kind of erie, but people still vacation there.

Ayla Kept Busy In The Car

Ayla did really well in the car. We spent a lot of time in the car, and she spent a tun of time coloring. She seriously colored on every page of that jumbo coloring book! At camp Aunt Annie would color with her and she loved that! When we got home I told Ayla we could color pictures and she popped her head up and said "Aunt Annie."

Our Trip To YELLOWSTONE

We just got back on Sunday night from Yellowstone. We went with my family and stayed almost a week. It was so much fun! The weather was PERFECT!!! It rained everyday we were there which brought the temperature down to the 60's and sometimes even the 50's! It was really nice! Ayla had a blast! So many people around to entertain her all of the time... plus living outside, it doesn't get much better than that!

These pictures were taken at the Lake Lodge, it's just down the path from the big yellow Lake Hotel, and right across the street from Yellowstone Lake. We like to come here and just sit on the poarch facing the lake it's beautiful.

Second Doctor's Appointment

We also had our second doctor's appointment that week. It went really well. We got to see the baby on ultrasound, it looks just like a Teddy Graham, but didn't get a picture this time. We saw the nurse practicioner and we just love her (part of the reason is she told me I was 3 weeks further along than Dr. Hartman did... he, he! That would put me at 15 weeks! - I know I'm going with Dr. Hartman's due date because it's acurate from the ultrasound, but it's nice to think I'm that far anyway!) Anyway, she gave me some anti-nausia medication which seems to be helping a lot--THANK HEAVENS!!! -- The nausia hasn't gone away it's still pretty bad, but I can function so that's great! I'm amazed everytime to see how much the baby has grown! I always expect it to look the same as the last time and am shocked to see how much bigger it is and how much more it looks like a baby!

Rexburg, ID

Well hopefully you haven't given up on me! The summer is always crazy, I can't believe we're already at the end of July! Let me catch you up a little bit on our adventures!

About two weeks ago we went to Rexburg, Idaho to see Traci (Tony's sister) gradutate with her BS in Sociology! We're so proud of her! That's quite an accomplishment! Way to go Trace!

Ayla wasn't too excited about sitting through the graduation. This was probably the only moment she was actually sitting!

While we were there we got to spend a little time with the cousins and the grandparents- WHICH AYLA ALWAYS LOVES!!!

Get Me Out Of This House!!!

It's been so hot lately, and with me not feeling well, we have been spending a lot of time indoors the past few weeks. Well, Ayz of course has been dying to go outside any chance she gets! This day she found her hat put it on, and put one shoe on (the wrong foot) and headed for the door, then stood there with this coxing look on her sweet little face saying "look mom, I got myself ready to go outside, please open the door!" How do you say no to that? Impossible!
