14 Days, 2 Weeks, or 1/2 a Month

Two weeks old today!
Tayvie is starting to be awake more often... still not a lot though. She is really such a good relaxed baby. She doesn't cry very often at all. She is very patient. Very sweet little girl. She's starting to discover her hands, she'll sit and watch them move with this look of amazement in her eyes.
She's a lot of fun!

Family Pictures

Having a newborn in the middle of one of the worst Flu and RSV seasons, we are trying to be good and follow doctor's instructions to stay home. So what is there to do around here for fun? Well, obviously I've been spending time on Tony's laptop updating my blog while Tayvie's nursing... boy I'm going to miss that when he goes back to work! And then of course, taking pictures, lots and lots of pictures! In a couple of months I'm going to look back at these pictures and say 'oh my heck, look at my chubby cheeks!' but I don't even care right now! I really wanted a picture of all four of us together.

One Week Ago...

One week ago today we were at the hospital about to meet this little girl for the first time! It's unreal how fast this week has gone! I can't believe she's already a week old! She is still a really sweet relaxed baby. Tony and I have really enjoyed having her part of our family. It's been really fun having two little girls. Ayla loves having her around too, she sure gets lots of kisses from her big sister.

Ayla's Eyes

The other day I kept noticing Ayla's sparkling blue eyes. I kept thinking how beautiful they are. I realized (sadly) that the reason I was noticing them so much is because I had just trimmed her bangs and pinned her hair out of her face... poor little girl always has hair hanging in her eyes! I try really hard to keep it up so we can see those beautiful blues, but she has a hard time keeping things in her hair. Just check out those eyes!

Sisters

Ayla has been really excited to have a little sister. This morning she said "show you Aya's room" to Tayvie and so we followed her in to her room and she showed Tayvie the butterflies on her walls and then various toys. She put Mickey Mouse in front of Tayvie and said "Hewo, I'm Mickey Mouse." She wants to give her everything... she keeps giving her 'presents' and sharing her toys with her. It's really cute to watch!

Our Little Valentine

Going home Friday night.

Because Tayvie Three-Fourty one would be even weirder

We are so excited that Tayvie Noon is here! We went to the hospital on Thursday and a short 3 hours later she was here! She was born February 14 at 3:41 in the afternoon. She weighed 7 lbs 6 oz and was 20 inches long.

Feeding the Ducks

Today Ayla and I went to Aunt Traci's new appartment for lunch and fed the ducks! The ducks just swarmed around us when they saw us. Ayla loved it! She thought they were so funny.
"Hewo duckies...hewo duckies."
