Before We Even Left Utah

Tony is so multitalented! Here we are driving through Southern Utah and he is playing My Little Ponies with Ayla Dell!

Ayla was hillarious, we kept laughing at her. She would look through her "looking-scope" (which was her hands) and she would see Tyrone (The Backyardigans) on the mountain or in the tree or where ever. Then she wouldn't be able to find him, then she would find him again somewhere. We thought it was so funny cause she barely knows who The Backyardigans are... apparently they made an impression.

The girls where fabulous! I've definatley got some good little travelers so far.

Sleepy Head

Both of my girls are little sleepy heads lately! These pictures are all random places I have found Ayla sleeping in the last few days! For those of you who know Ayla well, you know she is NOT a sleeper, it takes a HUGE effort to get her to fall asleep most of the time, so these are all the more surprising and funny!

These last two picture we had just come home from an evening stroll around the neighborhood and Ayla's friend Rita came over to play. So we were sitting in the front yard and Rita 'hurt Ayla's feelings' so Ayla pouted off to the carport. I followed her and to be fare she wasn't quite asleep by the time I grabbed my camera but she was just about there!

Tayvie has been just as sleepy, however she always ends up sleeping in her crib... ironically if Ayla had ever done THAT, that would have been the most rare place of all!

Just Checkin' In

We are back from CoLOrAdO!!! I have a whole bunch of pictures for you. We had a tun of fun. We hiked, we swam, we rode horses, we played games, watched movies, we took a train ride, and a shuttle, we did some sight seeing. Ayla had a blast she LOVED playing with her cousins, they get a long so well.

My internet has not been working so I haven't been able to update or see what's up with most of you, so I've got a lot to catch up on! Hopefully I've solved the problem, and it will keep working for me now! :)

Ayla thinks our old Kodak camera is HER camera. So we let her use it and she actually takes really good care of it! I think it's hillarious to sit and look through the pictures she has taken... you can see how hard she works on focusing on an object... and see things from her view. (Ayla took this picture of Tayvie in the car)

I wish umbrellas weren't made out of metal. I have a fascination with umbrellas... even though I'm afraid to use them when it's raining in case lightening strikes. Umbrellas are beautiful and they usually mean that it's raining. I like the whole look and idea of them, but seriously why would they be made with metal rods? Doesn't make sense to me.

I am working on a charcoal drawing right now and also a painting that I'm super excited about. I hate taking the time to rinse out a paint brush, so I'm doing the whole painting with a plastic scraper.

I've been thinking a lot lately how amazing life is, how much I love it.

I've also been thinking of things I would give away if I were Oprah... you know my favorite things... maybe we could make a post about that and turn it into a tag! I'll get on that.

Tony is actually 5 inches taller than me although, I've always thought we were the same height...even knowing this I still think when I'm standing next to him that we are the same height. While we're on the subject, I love him.

My number one thing to do is to be a great mother. This is what I want to do most in the world. Seriously. I honestly think every day how wonderful it is to be living my DREAM, with my husband and my two sweet girls. This is how I always imagined life... probably even better.3.

My other dream has always been to have a professional art studio and teach little children art classes... This one is yet to be realized. 2.

Past & Present Purple Dress

These pictures of Ayla in the purple dress were taken on May 8, 2006.

The pictures of Tayvie in the purple dress were taken on May 25, 2008.

So that is 2 years and 17 days apart.

In age they are 2 years and 21 days apart... so that means they are almost exactly the SAME age in these pictures!!!

I forget how much beautiful hair Ayla had! I remember always putting piggy tails in it at this age. There's no way I could put piggies in Tayvie's hair right now! :) But I love my little Tay's pretty hair too!

At first I thought it was ironic that these pictures were taken almost at the same time (and I still think it is a little), but then I realized that the dress is made to fit a 3 month old, so not all that ironic that they are wearing it around the same time.

Speaking of ironic though...

These pictures are taken EXACTLY 2 years apart to the DAY! Mike holding our two oldest, and Mike holding our two youngest! How funny is that?
